Abstract

With the constant improvement of the grid-connected wind farm and the increasing capacity of the wind power system, there is a higher requirement for the converter technology of wind farm. This paper first elaborates several converter topological structures used in the variable wind power generator system, then introduces the converters and the control strategy applying in medium and low-voltage wind power system at present. At last from the aspects of improving the topological structures with advantages, control strategy, and meeting the application requirements of wind power system, discussing the development trend of the wind power converter.
