Abstract

In this chapter the methodology for researching the complex and multi-faceted phenomenon of collective responsibility in the study is outlined. The approach combines the quantitative methods used in prior studies (Bryk & Schneider, 2002; Lee & Smith, 1996; Louis et al, 1996) with the richness that stems from multiple perspectives collected through case studies that include data from both individual and group interviews.
