Abstract

Anomopoda belong to one of the best known orders of Crustacea, even though there are some genera that need to be revised. The taxonomy of the genus Ilyocryptus is not clear at this time. This paper gives information about European species, explains key characters in tabular form together with a pictorial key of European species. Also presented are common problems of working with Ilyocryptus material, and a process of further study is explained.
