Abstract

The grasslands of Greece, have remarkably been degraded, mostly due to overgrazing and fires. In order that an efficient conservation and management of the high altitude grasslands is acheived, the detailed phytosociological and ecological research is absolutely necessary for the estimation of their natural potential and contributes to a more rational management.
