Abstract

In this final chapter we shall explore briefly two concepts which indicate that statistical physics is not such a restrictive subject as might at first appear. The second gives clear pointers as to how we can start to deal with interacting particles. But before that, we shall consider connections between thermal equilibrium properties and transitions between states.
