Protochlorophyllide Reduction and Greening

Part of the book series: Advances in Agricultural Biotechnology ((AABI,volume 8))

Abstract

The photoreduction of protochlorophyllide is the final photochemical stage of chlorophyll formation in plants. This stage is dependent on the specific native state of protochlorophyllide, which is associated with the lipoprotein molecules in etioplast membranes.
