Nel 2012, ISACA ha pubblicato i risultati di un’intervista su oltre 3.700 professionisti IT, professionisti generici e membri di ISACA (2012b), più del 40% dei quali operante nel settore della finanza, bancario, assicurativo, in ambito governativo e nel settore militare. Un risultato sorprendente è stato che più del 50% degli intervistati ha affermato che “il livello di coinvolgimento del business management nella governance di aziende IT non è molto alto”.
