Abstract
Two subdivisions of the HLA-DRw6 haplotype have recently been defined serologically as DRw13 and DRw14. We sought to investigate the molecular basis for this serological difference by sequencing the DRß 1 chains from a DRw13-typed and a DRw14-typed cell line. Two cell lines, CBG (DRw13, DQwi, DRw52) and AMALA (DRw14, DQw3, DRw52) were used for this study.
