Abstract
Integrated optical heterodyne interferometers in X-cut LiNbO3 have been developed for applications in metrology and vibration analysis. They combine 7 or 9 devices, respectively, on a single chip. 75 dB signal-to-noise ratio has been achieved with 3 kHz bandwidth by using a commercial DFB laser diode (λ,=1.5µm) and a PIN-FET balanced receiver.
