Abstract

Motor vehicle traffic injuries are a major problem in today’s society. In Saskatchewan, a province in Canada, motor vehicle related injuries were the third highest cause of hospitalization in 1979–88 (Hader and Seliske 1993). Prevention of motor vehicle collisions, prevention of injuries in the event of a collision, and prevention of chronic conditions resulting from injuries are all of great importance in today’s society.
