Zusammenfassung
From everyday encounters with the city, Baton Rouge, and the people living in Baton Rouge, from conversations with colleagues, and also from chance acquaintances, from interviews, and also from the (self-)representation of Baton Rouge on the Internet, as well as from scientific literature, the impression arose – contrary to the often expressed attribution of Baton Rouge as lacking significance – that the city and its inhabitants had some definite eccentricities and quirks, whose specific patterns of interpretation and action we have (certainly not completely) compiled in the following and ironically framed as ‘Baton Rouge Style’.
