Radiotherapy of Intraocular and Orbital Tumors

Part of the book series: Medical Radiology ((Med Radiol Radiat Oncol))

Abstract

Choroidal hemangioma is a benign vascular tumor that can occur as a circumscribed lesion at the posterior pole or as a diffuse lesion associated with encephalofacial angiomatosis (Sturge-Weber syndrome). This chapter considers the clinical features and management of choroidal hemangioma. A more extensive discussion can be found in ophthalmologic texts (Shields 1983; Char 1989; Lommatzsch 1989).
