Abstract

Malignancies of the biliary tree are rare. These tumors cause a distinct combination of symptoms. According to this presentation and the possible treatment they can be divided by site as follows:

  • 1. Lesser intrahepatic bile ducts

  • 2. Right and left hepatic ducts

  • 3. The hilar region and common hepatic duct

  • 4. Gallbladder and cystic duct

  • 5. Common bile duct

  • 6. Region of the ampulla of Vater
