Abstract

For a nuclear recycling process an analysis management system (CAA) is described that generates analysis plans in accordance to analysis task, process phase, operational mode, lab organization, and available analysis operators.

These process and analysis properties are represented as explicit and orthogonal models.

An explanation-based generalization mechanism, residing on some qualitative knowledge about chemistry and chemical analysis in particular, allows for the semi-automatical incorporation of generalized versions of an expert’s corrections of CAA’s analysis plans.
