Kurzfassung
Die Aufgabe der geometrischen Szenenrekonstruktion besteht darin, anhand von Bildvorlagen für die Objekte einer Szene ihre Oberflächen und ihre relative Anordnung zu rekonstruieren. Da bei der Bildentstehung durch die Projektion auf die Bildebene die Tiefeninformation verlorengeht, besteht das Hauptproblem der geometrischen Rekonstruktion darin, allgemeine Prinzipien zu finden, die es ermöglichen, die Tiefeninformation wiederzugewinnen. Ein Ansatz hierzu ist die Kombination mehrfacher Objektansichten, wodurch eine Tiefenmessung mittels trigonometrischer Parallaxe ermöglicht wird.
