Abstract

Today we have had the opportunity to consider the broad array of current approaches to the dementias with especial concern for the commonest form of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease. As we look ahead to the next steps in our search for understanding, it is appropriate not only to look at where we are and where we have been, but also to take on that most dangerous of professions, that of the prophet. This discussion will focus on neurogenetic research strategies in Alzheimer’s disease.
