Abstract
The great physiologic importance of the kinin system has prompted much investigation, during the last decade, of the chemistry, pharmacology and physiology of the peptides which constitute and affect this system. Since the earlier tabulation of bradykinin analogs in this work (Schröder, 1970), nearly 150 peptides related in structure to bradykinin have been synthesized and described. These new kinin analogs are tabulated in this chapter and the information gained from the study of these peptides is discussed. The attempts to make good peptide inhibitors of bradykinin will also be discussed.
