Zusammenfassung
Die MRT hatte zu Beginn ihrer Entwicklung in der abdominellen Diagnostik durch die vielfältigen Bewegungsartefakte Probleme mit Bildqualität und diagnostischer Aussagekraft (Abb. 6.1). Zwischenzeitlich hat sich die MRT durch zahlreiche Verbesserungen zu einer robusten Methode für Untersuchungen des Abdomens entwickelt. Diese Entwicklungen betreffen zum einen technische Aspekte, wie z. B. dem Trend von 0,5 T Magnetfeldstärke zu Systemen mit 1,0 T oder 1,5 T, leistungsfähigere Gradientensysteme, oder die breitere Verfügbarkeit der „Körper-Phased-Array-Spule“. Hierdurch werden Schnellbildverfahren bei gleichzeitig guter bis exzellenter Bildqualität möglich.
