Zusammenfassung

Der Verbrauch an Bodeninsektiziden ist in den letzten zwei Jahrzehnten in allen landwirtschaftlich führenden Ländern beachtlich gestiegen. Das hat seine Ursache in dem immer stärkeren Auftreten von Bodeninsekten, besonders infolge des intensiveren Pflanzenanbaus zur Erzielung höherer Erträge. So ist in den USA von 1955 bis 1962 die Bekämpfung der Bodeninsekten allein bei Mais von 7% auf 39 % der Anbaufläche angestiegen. Im gleichen Zeitabschnitt haben die Gesamterträge an Mais um 50% zugenommen 8).
