Abstract

The purpose of integration is to improve the resource utilization, saving the users’ time. To achieve the integration of electronic resources, we need to use a variety of retrieval techniques and methods of integrating these distributed, heterogeneous electronic resources into a unified environment, to form a new organic whole, and connecting those electronic resources seamlessly. The integrated electronic resources system should be able to provide users with a unified search platform where all processes are transparent to the user. The initial unified retrieval of integration of electronic resources focus on the multi-directional links among information, so as to solve the problem of information silos. With the construction of electronic library in-depth, service-oriented will become its main shape. The integration of electronic resources is not just integrating these distributed, heterogeneous resources together simply; what’s more, it is the integration of services and resources together.
