A Region-Based Image Retrieval Method with Fuzzy Feature

Abstract

A novel method is proposed in the paper, called A Region-Based Image Retrieval Method with Fuzzy Features(RBIRFF), which partitions images into regions firstly, then computes each region fuzzy features for color, texture and shape with fuzzy set theory, finally computes similarity between images and gets the retrieval results according to the similarity sequences. The design and realization of RBIRFF system is also introduced in the paper, and its retrieval effectiveness is evaluated by experiments.
