Abstract
There has been growing interest recently in optical phenomena that exhibits purely quantum-mechanical feature of radiation field[1–5]. Mandel studied the distribution of the number of photons emitted in a given time by a two-level atom in a resonant coherent exciting field[1]. The theory indicates that photon statistics of fluorescence of the two-level atom is sub-Poisson photon statistics.
