Abstract
This chapter summarizes the main themes of the guide and highlights a number of salient points related to using Cooperative Learning to address the standards within the goal areas of the 5 Cs of Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities. It emphasizes the importance of the organic relationship between language and culture, and highlights the role of purpose and cultural context in communication. Finally, the chapter proclaims Cooperative Learning as a useful methodology to achieve the standards.
