Abstract

In this futuristic era data is the new gold for all the investors and so to the business men. Data-driven insights are being used to improve decision making with the research of its possible effects to the particular organization. Decision makers utilize all the applications of business analytics and intelligence i.e. BA & I for the futuristic growth of their enterprises. BA & I are spurring technologies which will reach world’s umbrella in no time. This review paper will discuss the trends and challenges faced by the business analyst while implementing various methodologies not limited to Partial least squares i.e. PLS and 5-step methodology. The framework revolves around the different areas of analytics and big data. We will gain vast knowledge from huge amount of information generating from different channels over different areas and difference between PLS model and 5-step methodology has been highlighted with respect to the small scale enterprises as both are able to handle the small set of samples.
