Abstract
Higher levels of expressed self-interest, be it autocratic dominance or the outcome of “principled realpolitik”, as well as rising economic and social inequality shows a world in profound change. The principle of equidistance and human-centrism as paradigm of the new post-Afghan intervention logic manifests itself in effects in international law, international crisis and conflict management as well as common definitions and joint strategies.
