Abstract
The Hagedorns interviewed several neighbors of the Roosevelts. The Farrs lived in New Jersey, nearby the Robinsons who had children of the same age. Barclay Farr attended Groton School with Theodore Roosevelt’s son Kermit. In relating stories about their friendship, Farr tells about hi**ks they played on neighbors around Sagamore Hill and staff in the White House. Barclay played tennis with the president as a youngster, and as an adult invited him to Princeton University to speak at a 1912 campaign rally. One of the most revealing accounts, Farr’s testimony prompted the Hagedorns to collect more oral histories.
