Abstract
The Hagedorns interviewed several neighbors of the Roosevelts. The Farrs lived in New Jersey, nearby the Robinsons who had children of the same age. Their closeness led to many invitations to Sagamore Hill, and even to the White House. It gave Georgiana Farr an insight on the daily life of the Roosevelt family. Her friendship with Ethel Roosevelt Derby and Corinne Robinson Alsop brought her into contact with the president. Unlike political friends, Georgiana Farr saw Theodore Roosevelt at his most relaxed. She also recalls the influence of the Roosevelt women and the role women played in mundane household matters as well as high politics.
