Cancer Treatment An Update

Abstract

Metastatic gastric cancer remains a frequent disease with spontaneous median survival of about 6 months [1]. FAM regimen (5-FU, Doxorubicin and Mitomycin) was until the nineteens, considered as standard treatment of advanced gastric cancer. Recent publication of EORTC data showed significant improvement of survival in patients treated with FAMTX (5-FU, Methotrexate, Doxorubicin) in comparison to FAM [11].
