Abstract
REST is an architectural style for building distributed systems that provide interoperability between heterogeneous systems. The need for REST APIs has increased significantly with the drastic increase in mobile devices. It became logical to build REST APIs and let web and mobile clients consume the API instead of develo** separate applications.
