Abstract
Analytical solutions are rare in two-phase flow problems, and for many practical ases empirical methods are used. Lockhart and Martinelli [1] applied an empirical correlation to the flow of air-water mixtures. Martinelli and Nelson [2] added a momentum correction term to the Lockhart-Martinelli method and applied the correlation to the forced convection of boiling water.
