Abstract
Every user of software systems or systems containing software parts expects the system to be “reliable” in some sense. This paper describes an approach developed in the framework of the ESSI project which allows to tailor and apply a set of analysis and verification methods from the fields of software and reliability engineering to achieve and verify the required level of quality of a product.
