Abstract
In the paper a trial was made to describe selected dependability characteristic of technical objects. The creation of dependability related states of an object was considered. Triangularly probability distribution was used in order to describe in detail the characteristics such as inefficiency recognition threshold and limiting value of diagnostic parameter.
