Zusammenfassung
Die Kombination von Strahlentherapie und mTOR-Inhibition führt zu einer deutlich besseren Tumorkontrolle als die jeweilige Monotherapie. Durch die Kombinationstherapie kann bei gleicher Tumorkontrolle die Dosis der Strahlentherapie halbiert werden. Die Kombination von mTOR Inhibitoren und Strahlentherapie sollte daher im Rahmen multimodaler Therapiekonzepte innerhalb klinischer Studien weiter untersucht werden.
