In the version of this article initially published, there were selection errors in data used to plot Figs. 3c and 4b. We provide this correction using the archived data from the original experiments. The figure corrections do not affect the article text or the conclusions of the paper.

For Fig. 3c, in the EDS spectrum of the Cu2S-Cu-V sample (orange color in Fig. 3c), we mistakenly used data for V-Cu2S (blue color), an error made during the data transfer process. The correct spectrum using the original archived data is now provided in Corrected Fig. 3c, below right. The units of energy are now also corrected to keV instead of eV.

For Fig. 4b, we mistakenly plotted data intended for the Cu sample (purple line) using the raw data for the Cu2S-Cu sample (green line). We also accidentally removed the coordinate axis information during graphical layer overlaying in Origin software, leading to (erroneously) different time extents for the different data plots. We have now replaced the incorrect data with the original archived data, and we have corrected the x-axis. The units of the y-axis are “-mA cm–2,” and we have corrected this as well.
