Succesvolle osteosynthese bij een jonge patiënt met een dorsaal gedislokeerde fractuur van het collum femoris

Samenvatting

Een dorsaal gedislokeerde fractuur van het collum femoris bij een jongvolwassene is zeldzaam en de afweging tussen een kopsparende behandeling en een totale heupvervanging is complex. In de literatuur is er geen consensus over de beste behandeling. Wij beschrijven een casus van een 29-jarige jongeman met een dorsaal gedislokeerde fractuur van het collum femoris, die succesvol chirurgisch behandeld is met open repositie en interne fixatie.

Abstract

A femoral neck fracture with posterior dislocation in a young adult is rare and the decision between treatment with surgical fixation and prosthetic replacement is difficult. The number of studies on surgical treatment of this specific injury is limited and there seems to be no consensus regarding the treatment. This case reports a 29 year old man that was treated successfully with open reposition and internal fixation.
