Abstract

Copper oxide was synthesized by the one-pot synthesis methods associated with mesoporous silica in different synthetic conditions. The SBA route with Cu citrate sol was the most effective to prepare CuO with high surface area, where its crystallite size could be controlled with the pore size of the mesoporous structure. It also showed better catalytic activity for toluene oxidation.
