Preparation of Hollow Spherical Particles of Strontium Ferrite SrFe12O19 by Spray-Pyrolysis

  • Published:
Refractories and Industrial Ceramics Aims and scope

The synthesis of hollow nanostructured microspheres of strontium ferrite by microspheres is reported. The phase composition, morphology, and particle-size distribution of the obtained microspheres and the effect of the synthesis parameters on the morphology and particle-size distribution are investigated. It is established that synthesis by the spray-pyrolysis method formed hollow nanostructured microspheres with dimensions in the range 0.5 – 10.0 μm. The wall thickness was ~100 nm. The microspheres consisted of particles 10 – 20 nm in size.
