Weldability and changes in the physicomechanical properties of welded joints

  • Published:
Materials Science Aims and scope

Abstract

The new definition of weldability takes into account its dependence on the degree of degradation of the material, and this characteristic can be calculated as an integral parameter. We give examples of the degradation of some materials, characterizing their weldability. We also consider the premises of the development of a modern conception of weldability for its control.
