abstract
Emotionaliteit (emotionele labiliteit) is een veel voorkomend en onaangenaam verschijnsel dat veelvuldig optreedt bij patiënten die lijden aan een cerebraal vasculair accident (cva) of een andere hersenaandoening. Patiënten die emotioneel gedrag vertonen brengen hun familieleden en zichzelf soms in verlegenheid, waardoor zij ondanks normale fysieke functies sociaal gehandicapt raken. In het slechtste geval belemmert emotioneel gedrag het revalidatieprogramma, vertraagt het de vooruitgang of wordt het volgen van het programma zelfs onmogelijk.
