Summary

Laminar film condensation of a saturated vapor flowing across a horizontal, porous flat is considered. A special case is analyzed in which the condensate is removed through the wall at a rate sufficient to maintain a constant liquid boundary layer thickness far downstream from the leading edge. An exact solution of this case yields expressions for heat flux, boundary layer thickness, and interfacial velocity and shear.
