153. Meniseussonographie

Summary

Using the 7.5 MHz transducer of a sector scanner, it is possible to examine the meniscus. In the ultrasonogram, a meniscus tear presents as an echo enhancement. We had more accurate results in ultrasonography than in arthrography in patients — as was confirmed by surgery. Provided the examiner is experienced in the use of this procedure, ultrasonography should, because of its proven accuracy, be given preference over arthrography.

Zusammenfassung

Mit dem 7,5-MHz Schallkopf eines Seetor-Scans gelingt die Meniscusdarstellung. Am Leichenknie konnten selbst minimale Läsionen dargestellt werden. Der Riss imponiert als Reflexverstärkung mit folgendem Auslöschphänomen. An Patienten konnte gezeigt werden, dass die Sonographie eine höhere Treffsicherheit als die Arthrographie erreicht. Bei entsprechender Übung ist mit einer Sicherheit von 80 bis über 90% eine Läsion im Meniscus darstellbar. Das Verfahren ist besonders wegen seiner Nicht-Invasivität und beliebigen Wiederholbarkeit eine Ergänzung zur Klinik.
