Conclusions

Domestic nonswirl nozzles for pony ladles for pouring of steel without the use of stoppers on continuous billet casting machines with a small mold diameter were developed and introduced for the first time. The domestic nonswirl nozzles are not inferior to the imported ones in life and differ from them in an improved design.

The experience in the use of Belorussian Metallurgical Plant's pony ladles since 1986 has been extended to Moldavian and Far Eastern Metallurgical Plants.
