Abstract

A review is given of various methods for the detection of nuclear magnetic resonance using nuclear radiations. After a discussion of the physical basis of the different methods, emphasizing their common features, some remarks are made on the development of the methods and their applications up to the present. Finally, a summary of the most recent new aspects and future perspectives of each method is given.
